SANDPOINT — A jury trial is slated to start Monday in the case of a former Parsons RCI employee who claims he was fired for reporting safety violations and sexual harassment during construction of the U.S. Highway 95 bypass.

The trial is scheduled to last up to five days in 1st District Court.

Kootenai County resident Jay Nelson argues his termination in 2010 was wrongful and in violation of the Idaho Protection of Public Employees Act.
