Don't scratch, take itch out of mosquito bites instead

Oh no. A puffy, white bump just appeared on your leg and it itches to beat the band. Well, it could also be a hard itchy, reddish-brown bump or multiple bumps, or small blisters instead of hard bumps, or dark spots that look like bruises, but whatever, it’s probably a mosquito bite or several of them.

The operative word here is that it itches. Oh my, does it itch. Last week we looked into repelling mosquito bites, but that obviously didn’t work. We’re scratching our little nails to the quick. But, we probably shouldn’t be. Actually, there shouldn’t be a “probably” in that sentence. Scratching can cause infections and make the itching worse. Don’t do it. Try slapping it instead.
