NASCAR title run is bad for auto racing

Being an automobile racing fan for most of my life, NASCAR is no longer any interest to me because of the ridiculous way they decide who the annual champion will be with this stupid chase they are now using. Who can understand this dumb way of doing things and now the way they have decided to do the qualifying even some of the drivers did not know if they qualified or not.
