SANDPOINT — In a way, cyclocross is an appropriate sport to serve as a fundraiser for families affected by autism.

But on the other hand, there’s also the moments of great exaltation and satisfaction. It’s fitting, then, that cyclocross extravaganza Crosstoberfest will be one of the principle fundraisers for local organization Team Autism 24/7, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting local families with autistic members or special needs educators who work with autistic students.
