Player cited after football melee

SPOKANE VALLEY — A varsity Coeur d’Alene High football player was cited for fourth-degree assault on Thursday after a melee at a scrimmage.

The fight sent a Sandpoint player to a hospital with a concussion, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
