Xhale Pilates announces expansion, new staff

| October 2, 2015 7:00 AM

Early this summer, Xhale Pilates Studio owners Susan Chapman Caswell and Corrina Barrett decided to make a significant investment in their business.

With an already unique ownership in Pilates equipment for Sandpoint — five Reformers, six Exo Chairs, and one Cadillac — they added 10 Pilates springboards to the studio, located at Third and Cedar in downtown Sandpoint. With the new equipment, the studio has effectively become a boutique “equipment-based” studio, which is rare for any part of the country, much less North Idaho.

Traditional mat-based Pilates utilizes little or no equipment, but is more accessible for more people with regard to price points and can be done anywhere that you can put a few mats! More costly, large pieces of equipment like the Reformer means less access for more folks due to classes maximizing at five students.
