Firefighters owed thanks, gratitude

| September 3, 2015 7:00 AM

The many citizens and several organizations (Army Surplus, FEDEX Ground, Oath Keepers, NIE Trucking, Panhandle Trucking, North 40 an Ponderay Wal-Mart) in and around Sandpoint, have come together to send a demonstrative message of Thanks to the firefighters working tirelessly for several weeks to contain fires in three regions within approximately 30 miles of Sandpoint. The lingering smoke, which has created both red moon and sun circles in the sky, is a daily reminder to all that crews of firefighters are prepping fire break lines and beating back flames for our protection.
