Festival at Sandpoint musical stars shine bright
SANDPOINT — Well, the next couple weeks are kinda all about The Festival at Sandpoint, right? And with two full weeks of shows, it’s no surprise that fans are on the excited side. In fact, your humble scribe here is pumped that our trio, Bridges Home, gets to open tonight for Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers! We’ll be looking for you in the crowd.
But wait — there’s so much more going on, including Panida films, rodeo action, a fun run-walk at Schweitzer and a packed slate of live music — indoors and out — all over the region.
And, finally, we take another sneak peek forward into next week, as we continue to enjoy The Festival at Sandpoint season.
Thursday, Aug. 4
Opening Night, Bruce Hornsby at the Festival at Sandpoint

‘Free State of Jones’

A farmer (Matthew McConaughey) and an Army nurse (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) who rebel against the Confederacy with a militia of fellow deserters and renegade slaves declare Jones County a state and free its citizens of allegiance to North or South. Rated R for war scenes.

Sunday Celebration
