'Walk With Ease' program offered

An evidence-based walking program, Walk With Ease is aims to get you moving.

Designed for people with or without arthritis, the Arthritis Foundations’ six-week program teaches participants how to make physical activity part of their everyday life.

The next session of the program runs Aug. 30-Oct. 7 and costs $15. Participants are to meet at Travers Park near the picnic shelter on the first day of class.

Two time options are available:

• Group A meets weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30-9:15 a.m.

• Group B meets weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:15-6 p.m.

Those interested need to register at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, 1123 Lake St., prior to the Aug. 19 registration deadline.

The program is sponsored by Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, Kaniksu Land Trust, Arthritis Foundation and the National Recreation and Park Association.
