SANDPOINT POLICE

Aug. 11

Officers were unable to find a male lying on the grass in the area of N. Florence and Oak Street after a welfare check request at 5:37 a.m.

An officer was unable to locate a wounded raccoon in the area of N. Division and Spruce at 6:16 a.m.

An officer answered a citizen’s questions in the 1100 block of Elderberry Avenue at 6:44 a.m.

Information was relayed to law enforcement on Oak Street at 7:07 a.m.

Report of accidental 911 activation in the Highway 2 area at 8:50 a.m.

A K9 officer assisted Ponderay Police on a call on McManus Lane at 10:59 a.m.

Officers contacted a male at a vacant house in the 800 block of Cedar Street at 11:41 a.m.; he had permission to be there.

An attempted scam was reported in the 800 block of Highway 2 at 1:06 p.m.

A cold battery case was reported in the 300 block of Church Street at 1:32 p.m.

A male was trespassed from a business in the 200 block of Church Street after he was found on the roof at 2:06 p.m.

Report of an abandoned dog at Lakeview Park on S. Ella Avenue at 4:28 p.m.

Jeremy P Block, 44, of Sandpoint, was cited on a charge of an invalid driver’s license in the area of S. Division Avenue and W. Superior Street at 4:59 p.m.

Accidental 911 activation was reported on Heather Court at 5:28 p.m.

After a report of suicidal threats, a male was located at Fifth and Church at 6:05 p.m.; officers advised the male was intoxicated but did not meet the criteria for a detox or mental hold.

A minor, two-vehicle collision was reported at Main and Division at 6:16 p.m.

A follow-up report was taken on Pine Street at 6:23 p.m.

Report of several vehicles marked for sale in the area of Fifth and Cedar at 6:58 p.m. An officer advised they will be tagged for 48-hour removal.

An officer was unable to locate a speeding vehicle in the 100 block of N. Ella Avenue at 7:36 p.m.

Two very young children were warned about writing on the playground equipment on Samuelson Avenue at 8:37 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a suspected drunken driver in the 1100 block of Michigan Street at 8:57 p.m.

A 17-year-old Sandpoint male was cited on a charge of possession of tobacco in the area of Fourth and Pine at 10 p.m.

Jason E. Mikesell, 42, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 400 block of Olive Avenue at 10:04 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Tyshawn M. Mitchell, 20, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 1200 block of Oak Street at 10:21 p.m. on a charge of violation of a civil protection order.

Aug. 12

Officers contacted a large group of subjects in the 900 block of Michigan Street after a complaint of suspicious circumstances at 12:06 a.m.; they were just playing and no alcohol was involved.

Officers were unable to locate the source of a loud crash in the 700 block of Ontario Street at 3:49 a.m.

PONDERAY POLICE

Aug. 11

Lisa G. Hernandez, 48, of Sagle was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine in the 100 block of McManus Lane at 10:59 a.m.; and Frederick M. Williams, 63, of Ponderay was arrested on a charge of frequenting and on a probation violation at the same time and location.

An officer responded to a panhandling in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 12:51 p.m.

An officer assisted a citizen in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way at 12:58 p.m.

An officer responded to a non-injury crash at Highway 200 and Elm Avenue at 3:17 p.m.

An officer responded to a reported trespass in the 1100 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 3:20 p.m.

An officer responded to a reported theft in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 3:45 p.m.

An officer responded to a malicious injury to property in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way at 4:37 p.m.

An officer responded to an alarm activation in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way at 7:51 p.m.
