Talk eyes challenges of a grace-filled life

| August 19, 2016 1:00 AM

The potential impact of living out the Golden Rule will be explored at Lifetree Café at noon Monday, Aug. 22.

The program, titled “‘Give Me a Break!’ Living a Grace-Filled Life,” features conversations surrounding the giving and receiving of breaks in life.

“Many have heard of the Golden Rule, of treating others as you want to be treated, but people rarely have a chance to pause and assess its potential impact,” said Lifetree Café national director Craig Cable. “This Lifetree program provides a unique opportunity for participants to discuss what role the Golden Rule plays in their everyday lives.”

During the program, Lifetree participants will be given the opportunity to describe times they have both given and received undeserved breaks and to examine the aftereffects.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free.

Lifetree Café is located at Kokanee Coffee, 509 N. Fifth, Sandpoint.

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
