SANDPOINT POLICE

Aug. 14

A disorderly male had already left a residence in the 1100 block of Hickory Street when the officers arrived at 8:14 a.m.

A vehicle in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue was tagged for 48-hour removal at 9:17 a.m.

A male and female got into a verbal altercation in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue at 9:40 a.m.; the male had already left the residence when the officers arrived.

After a mental health call was reported in the 1300 block of Huckleberry Avenue at 11:07 a.m., an officer was advised law enforcement assistance was not needed.

A burglary was reported in the 200 block of First Avenue at 11:20 a.m.; an officer advised alcohol was taken.

An employee accidentally set off the alarm in the 1600 block of Spruce Street at 12:07 p.m.

An officer was unable to contact a citizen in the Bridge Street area at 1:52 p.m. who wanted to contest a parking citation

A vehicle blocking another one in the Bridge Street area was moved prior to the officer’s arrival at 4:31 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a dog locked in a vehicle in the Church Street area at 5:38 p.m.

A Washington resident wanted to contest a parking citation at City Beach on Bridge Street at 5:57 p.m.

An officer advised at 6:18 p.m. that a resident in the Cedar Street area had misinterpreted his friend’s text and that no law enforcement assistance was needed.

A male causing problems at a business in the 1100 block of Michigan was trespassed at 7 p.m.

Officers contacted two males in the 500 block of Boyer Avenue at 7:41 p.m. who were looking for a relative’s house in the area.

Officers were unable to locate two children in the 300 block of Florence Avenue for a welfare check at 7:56 p.m.

Crews were notified of a burned out light at the Pine Street intersection at 8:12 p.m.

Tracy L. Russell, 50, of Colville, Wash., was cited on a charge of driving without privileges in the Fifth Avenue area at 9:05 p.m.

A wallet found in the 200 block of Kootenai Road was turned in to the police department at 9:42 p.m.
