Van Ooyen named

to SLU dean’s list

Jenny V. Van Ooyen of Sandpoint has been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Van Ooyen is a member of the class of 2016 and is majoring in environmental studies. She attended Sandpoint High School.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Jessen earns honors at Seaver College

Pepperdine University student Nicolette Jessen, a native of Sagle was named to the Seaver College dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester.

In order to earn dean’s list honors, students must be in the upper 10 percent of their class and maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Jessen is one of only 295 students to receive the honor.

Seaver College, located in Malibu, Calif., is the undergraduate school for Pepperdine University.
