Paul Gollin, 59, passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Paul was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2014 and two types of leukemia in 2016.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at the Lakeview Funeral Home with the Rev. J.P. Carver officiating.

Paul was born on Dec. 16, 1956, in Lake-wood, Ohio, to Bill and Carol Gollin. When he was 12 years old, the family moved to San Diego, Calif., where Paul graduated from high school.

He attended San Fran-cisco State Univer-sity and earned degrees in English and journalism.

He met and married, his true love, Jean Duer on May 15, 1988, in Oakland, Calif. Following Jean’s death in 1996, Paul moved to Sandpoint to be near his parents.

Paul will be remembered for his “industrial strength brownies” at the Panida Theater as well as his desserts at 41 South.

He had a strong Christian faith. He loved music, movies, theater, writing, reading and watching television.

Paul is survived by his parents, Bill and Carol Gollin of Hope, Idaho; his brother, Russ Gollin; his sister, Suzanne Gollin; and two nephews, Greg and Daniel Gollin.
