CLARK FORK — Spencer Jeffres was a beast on the blocks, pouring in a career-high 36 points to go with 19 boards and three steals, leading the Wampus Cats to a 57-45 win over Mullan in North Star League boys basketball Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.

“Spencer dominated down low,” said Cats head coach Jim Banks. “The team played good but not at their full potential. We have a lot to work on.”

Kobe Banks stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, seven steals and six assists, Wade Stevens added seven points and nine boards, Bryant Moore five points and five assists and Hunter Boudousquie two points and seven rebounds for the Wampus Cats (3-1, 1-0 NSL), who turned the ball over 22 times in the win.

Sheldon Trogden hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter, including two from deep NBA range, to keep things close for the Tigers, whose short bench proved costly as they ran out of gas in the second half.

The Wampus Cats are at Coeur d’Alene Charter on Tuesday.
