OLDTOWN — Highway 41 was intermittently blocked for four hours on Highway 41 Wednesday after a tractor-trailer spilled its load.

Idaho State Police Clayton B. Thompson was hauling lumber southbound in a 2014 International when he lost part of the load near milepost 38 at about 3 p.m.

Thompson, 31, of Puyallup, Wash., was not injured in the incident, according to ISP.

Traffic was periodically blocked while the errant load was recovered and secured, said state police, which thanked the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and the Idaho Transportation Department for their assistance during the incident.
