Idaho Walk Bike event on tap at IPA

SANDPOINT — Idaho Walk Bike Alliance, a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting active transportation as healthy, safe, and reliable for all Idahoans, will hold its annual Sandpoint fundraiser on Wednesday, June 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Idaho Pour Authority, 203 Cedar St.

Sponsored by Idaho Pour Authority and Sockeye Brewing, the event will benefit the walking and biking movement in Idaho and feature a silent auction and raffle, prizes, snacks and beer, and live music by Marty Perron and Doug Bond. IWBA and Pend Oreille Pedalers will also hold a casual ride along USBR 10 prior to the event; those interested in joining the bike ride will meet at Idaho Pour Authority at 3:30 p.m.

IWBA’s Executive Director Cynthia Gibson will be at the fundraiser to provide an update on the Idaho Legislature’s transportation actions and local activities related to walking and bicycling issues.

Idaho Walk Bike Alliance is a Boise-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting active transportation as healthy, safe, and reliable for all Idahoans. As the only statewide advocacy group working to improve safety on roadways for all non-motorized users, it represents 350 individuals, organizations and advocacy groups from all over Idaho. It envisions an Idaho known for its active and vibrant walking and biking communities.
