To everyone who helped with this year’s first “wood cutting party” to assist veterans and/or their families, cutting, splitting, stacking, at the Veterans Wood Lot, our grateful appreciation for all the hard work.

A special “thank you” to the group from Cedar Hills Church: Joe and Bret McBreyer; Conrad, Greg, and Sam Becker. Thanks to Matt and his daughter Bailey, Kirk Sehlmeyer, Jim Bunte, Richard Simmons, Chris Allen, Wayne and Kerin Dunham, Sage and Asher Dixon, Tyler Anderson and Glen Goodman (USMC).

Kudos to our chef sublime, Jay Herrmann, USMC and VFW member.

The VFW Post was represented by: Dean Press; Will Dittman; Mike Trenholm; Dan Rose, Mike Rhoads, Larry Williams, Michael Harmelin and myself. Our grateful appreciation goes to Chad Inman and the Bonner County Daily Bee, for the beautiful ad that helped get such a great response for this activity.

The wood is available to all veterans and/or their families in Bonner County who cannot physically gather firewood themselves.For information about the wood, please contact me.
