In grateful appreciation for all the years, nine of them, that the Benevolent & Protective Order of The Elks, Sandpoint, has organized and put on the annual Elks Patriotic Golf Scramble. Thank you so much.

This year, as in many past years, Linda Tatlock of the Elks was in charge of organizing this annual fundraiser, with our various veterans organizations participating in the raising of funds: Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2453; Marine Corps League, Detachment 1110; Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 890; American Legion, Post 15; Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 15; and United States Submarine Veterans Inc.

The top 25 percent of the proceeds goes to the Kaniksu Dental Health Program for veterans that have no dental insurance or VA Dental Care. The balance of the monies raised is split amongst each of the veterans organizations, to assist veterans in need. A special “thank you” to the Elks Exalted Ruler, David Tatlock, for all his support with this year’s event. To our many hole sponsors, corporate sponsors, and players, this event wouldn’t be the success it is without all of you. This is truly a local event to assist our local veterans.
