Motorist in deadly crash is identified

CAREYWOOD — The motorist who was killed in collision on U.S. Highway 95 on Oct. 4 has been identified as Jeffrey L. Wells, a 46-year-old from Troy, Mont.

Idaho State Police released the identity of Wells on Thursday.

Troopers said Wells was northbound in an Oldsmobile Delta 88 when he crashed head-on into a southbound tractor trailer north of the Old School House Road turnoff on Granite Hill.

A passenger in the sedan, Tasha L. Coffman-Saeburn, 31, of Eugene, Ore., was also killed in the collision.

The driver of the Peterbilt semi, Denis LeBrun, 55, of Mandeville, Quebec, Canada was injured in the crash, as was his passenger, Andre Marc Aruele, a 55-year-old from Pont-Rouge, Quebec.

It remained unclear on Thursday whether any of the drivers or their passengers were wearing seat belts, according to Idaho State Police.

Troopers are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or its aftermath. Those with information are asked to call 208-209-8620.
