Recently, people traveling on Highway 200 entering Hope could see a graffiti motivated by political bias. The message was printed across the face of a concrete wall just below the old Chinese cemetery. Since the writing had to do with the deportation of immigrants, one wonders at the choice of location as well as the benighted nature of the individual(s) compelled to take such action.

No one denies the strong feelings centering around our impending presidential election but this form of expression is unacceptable. Whoever did this, make your argument in the paper or among those you can verbally contront.

Kudos to Road and Bridge for their quick response in eliminating the wall defacement.
