Terry Ford, write-in candidate for Bonner County sheriff, is touring the county, providing “meet and greet” opportunities for county residents. Terry is presenting his goals for the sheriff’s office, and offering citizens of Bonner County the opportunity to ask questions about law enforcement in our local area. Among the issues he will discuss are:

1. Open communication between citizens and the Sheriff’s Office. Terry will include his vision for improved responsiveness to calls for help.

2. Establishment of a collaborative network of policing that includes other local law enforcement and mental health agencies.

3. Expansion of anti-drug initiatives including expanded surveillance and prosecution of drug offenders, and education of our youth regarding the long term consequences of drub misuse.

4. Collaboration with local mental health agencies to more effectively deal with criminals suffering from mental illness.

5. Youth programs that serve to create positive relationships with law enforcement personnel, and greater understanding of the role of law enforcement in our society.
