NEZPERCE — Gerry Fischer rushed four 250 yards and two scores on 30 attempts, and Lewis-County as a team tallied 407 yards rushing to run past the Wampus Cats 38-14 during a White Star League contest on Saturday.

“My guys were great up front,” LC coach Monty Moddrell said of his linemen.

Lewis-County (5-3, 3-2 WSL) jumped out to a quick 15-0 lead before Wade Stevens scored on a 40 yard run to cut the lead to 15-6. Stevens would add a 15 yard run later for the second score, but the Wampus Cats (4-5, 3-4 WSL) simply didn’t the depth to sustain for four quarters.

“Clark Fork’s a quality opponent,” Moddrell said, “but we just came to play.”
