There are some who will claim that this good news is a “rigged” report from a federal agency that has manipulated the numbers for political purposes. Just ask Jack Welch or Donald Trump.

But, having said that, the Census Bureau reported Sept. 13 that for 2015, middle class incomes rose 5.2 percent, the poverty rate fell 1.2 percent to 43.1 million, a decline of 3.5 million over 2014, and the number of Americans without health insurance fell to 9.1 percent. Before Obamacare, 18 percent of Americans did not have health insurance.

I can’t think of a better reason to stay the course established by Barack Obama and the Democrats. Imagine how much better we could do if Republican obstructionism disappeared from the legislative process.
