UNITED offers night of musical worship

| September 30, 2016 1:00 AM

There’s a quote attributed to the German monk Martin Luther that says “beautiful music ... is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us.”

A gathering planned for Friday, Sept. 30, aims to give that gift back to God with an evening of singing and musical worship, reflection and prayer for the purpose of celebrating Jesus Christ in a unified community.

The event is called UNITED and its goal is to create exciting and life-changing environments by gathering members of all the area church communities in one place, together, for worship through music. UNITED begins at 7 p.m. in the Cedar Hills Church auditorium, 227 McGhee Road in Kootenai.

UNITED is being organized by Cedar Hills music pastor Weston Grillo, but he emphasizes that everyone is invited as he works to build a regular recurring musical worship event that may be hosted in other venues in the future.

“Churches joining together present an opportunity to pool resources and impact our community in ways we never dreamed were possible,” said Grillo. “We are stronger in sharing the message of Jesus Christ together then we can ever be on our own.”

Everyone is invited to attend on Sept. 30; for more information, visit cedarhillschurch.com or call Grillo at 208-265-8500.
