SANDPOINT — If you’re heading to the Sandpoint boys and girls home basketball action tonight against East Valley, don’t forget to bring in some food items, as the Sandpoint girls basketball program is holding a food drive tonight.

Fans are asked to bring food or a donation for the Bonner Community Food Bank for the varsity and JV games. The JV boys play at 4 p.m. to start off a tripleheader, with the varsity girls tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity boys at 7 p.m. The girls team will then deliver the food on Wednesday when they spend part of the afternoon volunteering at the food bank.

The Bulldog girls sit at 3-5 entering tonight’s game, where they’re face an East Valley (7-0) team that has yet to lose, including quality wins against Lake City and No. 1 ranked 3A Timberlake on their résumé.

The Bulldog boys boast a winning record at 3-2, and will look to make it three wins in a row against East Valley (0-7), a Great Northern League team hungry for its first win of the season.
