Community fellowship program celebrates birthday

| February 3, 2017 12:00 AM

Lifetree Café Sandpoint will celebrate its fourth birthday on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. Lifetree Café meets at Kokanee Coffee on Fifth Avenue in Sandpoint every Monday at noon. In fact, Lifetree Sandpoint has only taken one Monday off in its first four years; that was July 4, 2016. Our birthday episode next week is particularly appropriate since we meet on Mondays: “Finding Meaning Every Monday, Secrets to a Satisfying Week.”

Lifetree Café Sandpoint is part of an international network of more than 250 Lifetree Cafés that gather each week to enjoy conversations about important and timely issues. Every Lifetree Café begins with these words: “You’re welcome just as you are. Your thoughts are welcome; your doubts are welcome. We’re all in this together. God is here, ready to connect with you in a fresh way.” In our highly-polarized culture, Lifetree Café is a place where people can respectfully disagree and still be friends. Lifetree episodes generally approach issues from a Christian perspective, but all religious and non-religious views are welcome. All means all at Lifetree.

Lifetree Café Sandpoint is a partnership between Kokanee Coffee and “follow ~ a community,” a new type of faith community that gathers in homes and coffee shops. “Follow” is lead by Gerri Harvill and Stan Norman, retired Sandpoint pastors. For more information on “follow” please visit our website: www.followcommunity.org and/or our Facebook page: follow: a community.

Join the conversation every Monday. Lifetree Café is fearless conversation without judgment.
