The 7B Women, a committee of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, invite you to attend their February luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Tango Café in the Columbia Bank Center. The luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m.

This month, 7B Women’s guest speaker will surely inspire you as Sandpoint resident Stephanie Allen will share the adventures she experienced during her recent visit to India.

In anticipation of her solo three-week trip, Allen spent months researching the area and gathered information to know for a woman traveling alone. If you are interested in traveling to India or traveling abroad alone, this is a luncheon you won’t want to miss.

“I hope I can inspire women to travel and not feel as if they need to do it with others or have lots of money to do so,” said Allen.

The 7B Women committee are looking forward to Allen’s talk and encourage those interested in attending to pre-register online.

“We invited Stephanie to speak because so many women have been inspired by the fact that Stephanie took this trip alone, which most of us think was very courageous, especially in a time when global travel can be dangerous in and of itself,” said 7B Women chair Kim Diercks. “We were also inspired by the fact that she realized that she loved it and is now deciding to take her hobby, which is sailing, to another level so that it can help her travel to new places.”

The luncheon is open to everyone in the community, both men and women. The cost is $20 or $15 for chamber members.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged.

If people would like an opportunity to promote their business at the luncheon, they are asked to bring an item to raffle and will be given a “minute with the mic” at the conclusion of the luncheon.

You can register by contacting the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce at 208-263-2161 or online at sandpointchamber.org. You can also now purchase raffle tickets ahead of time to avoid standing in line at check in and optimizing networking time. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.
