SANDPOINT POLICE

Feb. 5

Megan M. McDermott, 26, of Sandpoint, was arrested at 12:47 a.m. on Cedar Street on a charge of driving under the influence.

Officers responded after a fight occurred in the 200 block of First Avenue at 1:02 a.m. between two males; no charges were pressed.

Officers responded to a reported drunken driver in the 100 block of Pine Street at 1:33 a.m.

Agency assistance was provided in the 100 block of S. First Avenue at 1:33 a.m.

Several vehicles were towed from the downtown core for snow removal at 1:09 a.m.

Lance S. Weier, 46, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested at in the 30000 block of Highway 200 at 2:19 a.m. on a charge of driving under the influence.

A resident in the area called to express unhappiness about the plows removing snow from school property in the 1600 block of Spruce Street at 2:47 a.m.

An officer advised a person in a backyard in the 800 block of Church Street turned out to be a neighbor after a report of suspicious circumstances at 5:20 a.m.

Report of a gas drive-off in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue at 10:29 a.m.

A vehicle was reported egged in the 1300 block of Honeysuckle Avenue at 11:17 a.m.

The traffic signal was functioning normally when the officer arrived after a complaint of a traffic hazard on Larch Street at 11:59 a.m.

Jessica K. Humphrey, 42, of Ponderay, was cited on Highway 2 at 1:56 p.m. on a charge of failure to purchase an Idaho driver’s license.

A trailer parked in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue was reported struck by a truck plowing snow at 1:52 p.m.

Possible phone harassment was reported in the 400 block of Loman Circle at 1:57 p.m.

Nino A. Valdez, 34, and Dustin A. Thorne, 22, both of Spokane, were cited and released in the 1300 block of Highway 2 at 2:29 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

After a complaint of trespassing in the 400 block of Loman Circle, officers checked a residence at 2:46 p.m. and advised one was there.

After a welfare check request at 4:46 p.m., an officer checked on the residents in the 1200 block of Walnut Street; they were fine.

A citizen on Gooby Road, who came to the police department on W. Lake Street to report harassment, was referred at 5:28 p.m. to the county, where he lives.

Officers and EMS personnel checked on an intoxicated male in the 400 block of Loman Circle at 7:02 p.m.

An officer assisted a driver who slid off the roadway on Highway 2 and into a ditch at 8:18 p.m.

Officers contacted a female juvenile who did not want to leave a residence in the 600 block of Ella Avenue at 8:21 p.m.

A tow was called for a vehicle partially in a ditch and partially in the roadway after a slide-off accident on Highway 2 at 9:54 p.m.

An officer provided a courtesy transport for a male released from Bonner General at 10:45 p.m.

Feb. 5

An officer took a report of a 911 hang-up in the 100 block of McManus Lane at 1:47 a.m.

An officer responded to a citizen assist in the 477000 block of Highway 95 at 9:39 a.m.

An officer responded to a theft of property in the 477200 block of Highway 95 at 12:31 p.m.

An officer responded to a citizen assist in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 12:59 p.m.

An officer assisted Bonner County deputies with a narcotics investigation in the 31400 block of Highway 200 at 11:33 p.m.
