I am an SHS graduate. The skills and education that I received here, in our little community, helped me to excel not only in college, with classmates from all over the world, but in graduate school as well. If it weren’t for the impact of my teachers, my coaches, and my extracurricular activities, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

To really make it in the world today, we need to be well-rounded. We need experience with the performing arts, we need to be pushed to our creative limits to exceed them, and we need teachers and coaches who will show us how to live up to our full potential. Without the programs and staff positions funded by the LPOSD replacement levy, our students will lose many of the opportunities that would provide them with these experiences.

We are a small enough community that everyone here knows someone involved in the school district in some way. Maybe your neighbor works for LPOSD. They might lose their job. Maybe your grandchildren go to school here. What opportunities and activities will they be forced to give up if you vote no?

Please vote yes for the levy on March 14. Thank you.
