Buff E. Johnson, 62

Buff E. Johnson, 62, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at his home in Ponderay, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bradshaw of The Cocolalla Cowboy Church officiating. A potluck reception will follow at the VFW Hall.

Buff was born on Jan. 3, 1955, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Keith and Betty Johnson. He grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1973.

Buff married Mildred LaFever on Oct. 3, 1974, in Sandpoint. He worked at the Colburn Mill until it closed and then ran Buff’s Lite Tractor Service.

He was a member of The Cocolalla Cowboy Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, and motorcycles.

He is survived by Regina Hammack of Ponderay; daughter Jennifer (Joey) Johnson and her children Jordan and Jaren, daughter Jody (Dave) Westfall and their children Zachary, Daisy and Lila; Jack (PJ) Hammack and their children Rachael (Mick) and Jordan (Becky), Mike Ham-mack and his children Tyler and Drew, and Nadine Steen and her children Lloyd, Brandon (his daughter Riley), and Jake; brother Marty (Lorie) Johnson and their children Cody and Chandra, brother Shane (Lavar) Johnson and their children Chrissy (Cody), Brandon (Elena), sister Melanie Johnson and her children Ethan (Stephanie) and Sarah (Mike). He is also survived by friends Craig and Darla Rehm, and Buff’s dogs Koda, Buck, and Coppy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Johnson, in 1994.
