First Presbyterian Church offering forgiveness retreat

| February 17, 2017 12:00 AM

It’s not too late to sign up for a retreat being offered by the First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint on “Forgiveness: An Inside Job of Transformation.”

Is there baggage holding you back on your spiritual journey? Are old wounds festering? Would you like to know more about forgiveness? As Lewis Smedes says in “The Art of Forgiving”, “When we forgive, we set a prisoner free and we discover that the prisoner is us.”

Join the church on Friday evening, Feb. 24, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 25, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint is located at 417 N. Fourth Ave. Saturday lunch options include homemade soup & bread (please consider a donation to cover cost); or bring your own lunch or eat out in one of the amazing restaurants in downtown Sandpoint.

The retreat is led by the Rev. Andy Kennaly, MDiv., pastor, retreat leader, and certified spiritual director; and Sharon Anderson, MS, ruling elder, retreat leader, and certified spiritual director.

Pre-registration is required by Feb. 21. Please contact Judy to register (suggested donation $45) at 208-290-3119 or registration@fpcsandpoint.org.

Scholarships are available.
