Miller's Country Store adds dining room

| February 18, 2017 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Miller’s Country Store has become a go-to spot for delicious homestyle foods and baked goods to take home and enjoy. It also is now fast becoming a go-to spot to hang out and enjoy that same meal.

Since it opened in 2010, Miller’s Country Store has become a community favorite. The store, 1326 Baldy Mountain Road, was launched by Rod and Nanette Miller a year after they purchased Handyman Services as a way to learn to know the community.

“We loved serving such a caring, supporting group of people right away,” Nanette Miller said.

Rod Miller was diagnosed with cancer in December 2015, and passed away in May 2016. Nanette Miller is continuing on with the plans she and Rod made together, for Sandpoint Movers, as well as for Millers Country Store.

Since it opened, Miller’s Country Store has continued to grow into a warm, popular place, full of smiling faces and useful, unique and pretty things. Deli meats and cheeses and bulk goods are also available, as well as take-and-bake entrees and desserts — prepared in Miller’s kitchen to be baked up fresh and hot in yours. Local farm-fresh products including eggs, raw milk, and Selle Valley grass-fed beef are a staple.

It is also a go-to spot for delicious homestyle foods and baked goods — from breakfast burritos to custom deli sandwiches on their homemade bread, homemade soups, wraps, coleslaw and specialty juices and sodas for lunch.

The latest addition to Miller’s is a large dining area where customers have the option to enjoy their meals right there instead of just taking them to go. An open and airy area, the dining area is comfortably furnished with high quality Berlin Gardens furniture and a fireplace.

“This upgrade to the eating area was planned for last January, so I went ahead a year later,” Nanette Miller said.

Miller’s Country Store is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
