Knights top Wampus Cats

RATHDRUM — Alex Pakootas scored 19 points to lead the Knights past the Wampus Cats in a semifinal game in the 1A Division II District 1 tournament at Lakeland High.

“Late first, second quarter, it turned into a transition game and ended up with some fast breaks,” Lakeside coach Bob Wolcott said. “The pace of the game quickened and we got some points in transition to really put things away.”

Takoda Abrahamson had 12 points for Lakeside (9-10), which faces Genesis Prep in the championship game on Thursday.

Kobe Banks scored 19 points for Clark Fork, which finishes 7-12.
