Robert T. Moore, 92, passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Lakeview Funeral Home.

Bob was born on Jan. 18, 1925, in Fort Bragg, Calif., to Robert and Kathrine Moore. He attended schools in Eureka and San Francisco before joining the United States Army. After World War II, he attended San Jose State University and studied jewelry and watch making.

Bob married Beverly Carlson in San Francisco; they had three children, Kevin, Frank and Karen, and later divorced. During his career with the San Francisco Police Department, Bob served as a patrolman and sergeant, and retired as a lieutenant.

Bob married Robin Marsh in San Francisco and worked on fishing boats out of fisherman’s wharf for 20 years. His favorite boat was the “Lovely Martha.” In 2006, he retired to the ranch in Doris, Calif., and, in 2013, moved to Sandpoint to be closer to family.

He was the co-founder of the San Francisco Police Youth Fishing Program, a member of the NRA and El Comino Rod and Gun Club, and a guest of the Chinese Sportsman Club. He was also a published writer in Eastman’s Hunting magazine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, piano, art, woodworking, gun smithing, engraving, drag racing, and fast cars.

He is survived by his two sons, Frank Moore (Jan Christians) of Sandpoint, and Kevin Moore of San Francisco; daughter Karen Fields of San Bruno, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Swales of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; second wife Robin; the mother of his children, Beverly; and a brother, Donald Moore.
