Sagle sub-area planning meeting is on tap tonight

| February 28, 2017 12:00 AM

SAGLE — The Bonner County Planning Department is holding another community meeting on tonight to consider land use planning goals in the Sagle area.

It starts at 6 p.m. at the Sagle Elementary School gymnasium.

Planners will present a draft of the results from the last two month’s meeting and a brief history of the Sagle area. The success of the plan relies on community members, landowners and stakeholders. All Sagle residents are encouraged to attend the meeting and participate in the planning process. This will be the third meeting that has been held in Sagle. The last meeting was a huge success, officials said.

The Sagle area was established in the late 1800s, with a working post office, school and railway system. However, with time comes change, and the Bonner County Planning Department wants to help guide that change. With the proposed highway changes and people moving into the area, planning for the future will help protect and enhance the characteristics of the area.
