Beach volleyball tournament on tap

SANDPOINT — Attention local beach volleyball enthusiasts: Sandpoint Parks and Recreation proudly presents the Evergreen Beach Volleyball Tournament on July 15-16 at the City Beach courts.

The weekend tournament is open to any and all players ages 16 and up. There will be A and B leagues, with men and women playing on Saturday, and the coed action on Sunday.

Players should be at the sand volleyball courts at Sandpoint City Beach for a rules meeting at 9:30 a.m. The tournament begins at 10 a.m., and athletes should be prepared to stay all day.

The fee is $40 per team. Register online at www.sandpointidaho.gov/parksrecreation. There are a limited number of spots in the tournaments, so sign up early to guarantee your spot.
