Floyd N. McGhee, 93

Floyd N. McGhee, 93, area cattle rancher and land developer, passed away in Kootenai, Idaho, on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Private family services, with military honors, will be conducted in Pinecrest Memorial Park on Saturday, July 15, at 11 am.

The McGhee and Berry families moved to the Sandpoint area in August 1917.

Floyd was born on Dec. 19, 1923, in Sandpoint, Idaho the son of Thurston and Genie McGhee. He attended local schools prior to joining the U.S. Navy and serving during World War II.

He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie; his son, Tom (Fran); a granddaughter, Darlene; grandsons, Kelly and Kory; two stepsons, George Haley and Randy Powers; and his cousin, Jim Berry. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, TT and Genie McGhee; and two brothers, Orville and Thornton.
