Tom Walton and Friends will be featured during the 10 a.m. service at First Lutheran Church, Olive and Ontario, playing various brass selections. The community is invited to join the congregation for its regular worship service at “get jazzed” by Tom and his crew.

In other news, First Lutheran invites the community to join them for a special workshop, “Help Keep our Children Safe and End Child Sexual Abuse” on Saturday, July 22. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Idaho Educational Services for the Deaf and Blind, 1810 Schneidmiller Avenue, Suite 110, Post Falls.

Looking a little further ahead, the church will partner with United Methodist and First Presbyterian Churches on KIDS ALIVE Summer Day Camp. The camp will have the theme, “We are God’s masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do good things.”

The camp will run July 24-27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day at First Lutheran Church, Olive and Ontario, Sandpoint. Check-in wil take place Monday morning, July 24. It will be lead by a team from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (Lutherhaven)
