July 4

An employee accidentally set off the alarm in the 1400 block of Cedar Street at 7:57 a.m.

The street department was notified of a missing manhole cover in the 300 block of N. First Avenue at 8:44 a.m.

Traffic controllers requested in the area of Fifth and Cedar at 8:54 a.m. to have the traffic lights switched to flashing for the duration of the parade.

A female juvenile was signed as a runaway on Spruce Street at 9:08 a.m.

An officer advised reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Cedar Street at 9:57 a.m. were unfounded.

An officer was unable to locate a dog reported to be running at large in the area of N. Division Avenue and Pine Street at 11:03 a.m.

A business owner on Church Street had questions about the trespass statute at 11:12 a.m.

An officer was unable to catch a dog running in traffic in the area of Baldy Mountain Road and N. Boyer Avenue at 11:26 a.m.

An officer checked on dogs in an RV after a complaint in the area of Dearborn Street and S. Fourth Avenue at 11:28 a.m. and advised they did not appear in distress. A few minutes later, he saw the RV driving away down the street.

A cellphone found in the Bridge Street area at 11:44 a.m. was returned to its owner.

An officer was unable to locate a reported suspicious vehicle in the 1100 block of Maple Avenue at 1:21 p.m.

Two vehicles in the 1100 block of N. Florence Avenue were tagged at 1:32 p.m. for 48-hour removal.

An officer advised an elderly female with dementia called a friend to pick her up in the 200 block of N. First Avenue at 2:57 p.m. without letting family members know.

Report of physical threats in the 1300 block of Main Street at 3:05 p.m.

A juvenile male was verbally warned at 3:08 p.m. against shooting off fireworks at City Beach.

An officer contacted a homeless male at Lakeview Park after a complaint at 3:38 p.m. He advised he doesn’t sleep there.

A vehicle on Elliott Avenue was reported keyed at 3:46 p.m.

A dog found in the area of Highway 2 and Park Avenue was transported to the shelter at 5:49 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported reckless driver in the 1100 block of Michigan Street at 8:35 p.m.

A possible overdose was reported at City Beach at 9:48 p.m.

Juveniles were no longer on a bulldozer at Memorial Field when the officer arrived at 10:59 p.m., but he did find that a Port-a-potty had been knocked over.

An officer was unable to locate any fireworks in the area of the 1500 block after a complaint at 10:59 p.m.

A found dog on Hickory Street was transported to the shelter at 10:53 p.m.

A found child in the 4100 block of Samuelson Avenue was returned to his mother at 1:28 a.m.

Keys found on Bridge Street were turned in as found property at 2:13 a.m.
