| July 18, 2017 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — NAMI Far North (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will welcome Gini Woodward, founder of Conduit of Care, is the featured speaker.

NAMI will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the old Bonner General Health classroom, 520 N. Third. The Conduit of Care project supports patients at State Hospital North in their journey to recovery. Members from NAMI North, under the guidance of Woodward, work to give back to others in need with generosity and compassion helping to break the stigma of mental illness. The Conduit of Care project provides much needed donated items such as toiletries, socks, backpacks, or special request necessities. NAMI officials said the project gives a message of hope, acceptance, and encouragement to patients during their stay at the hospital and to those returning to their community. The presentation will be interactive.

Following the presentation there will be a support group session for those with mental illness and another support session for those who love them. All are welcome to this free meeting.
