Idaho Pain Clinic announces additions

| July 26, 2017 1:00 AM

Idaho Pain Clinic Physical Therapy, 1327 Superior, would like to announce several exciting additions to the practice.

Joining the clinic’s therapy team is Ryanne Lemon, a physical therapy assistant who has been working in outpatient therapy settings for the past two years. Lemon joined Idaho Pain Clinic in June and has been an excellent addition to the team.

Her experience with aquatics has allowed her to transition into using Idaho Pain Clinic’s AlterG anti gravity treadmill system with patients and have great success with these patients. The AlterG anti gravity treadmill system is a state-of-the art, NASA-designed piece of equipment that allows the therapists to offload anywhere from 1 percent to 80 percent of a patient’s bodyweight through differential air pressure versus the traditional harness systems which can be uncomfortable and cumbersome.

Idaho Pain Clinic Physical Therapy has seen exceptional patient outcomes through the use of the AlterG, which they added to their practice in February 2017. It has been used as a tool for weight loss, return to sport during injury, or as a way to get patients walking or running in a safe and pain-free environment. The clinic is excited to be the first and only clinic in the greater Sandpoint region with the AlterG.

Additionally, Idaho Pain Clinic has recently joined with the founders of the Upright device. A wearable posture trainer that is designed to improve posture and decrease pain associated with posture abnormalities. Idaho Pain Clinic has six units that will be used as part of a study to determine the effectiveness of this device in improving posture and decreasing patients reports of back pain.

This cutting edge technology, combined with the skills of experienced therapists, will help patients achieve positive outcomes for community members.

“We offer the community the chance to see our clinic, meet the therapists and trial the AlterG fist hand for free,” Amanda Thome said.

Community members can book their initial free trial on the AlterG online at idahopainclinic.com/alterg.

The therapists can be found at the clinic Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and at community events throughout the year.
