NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing pursuant to Idaho Code and Dover City Code has been set for Dover City Council on August 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Dover City Hall, 699 Lakeshore Ave., Dover, to consider the following: File #AM08-17 Short-term rental standards: The Dover Planning & Zoning Commission has initiated an amendment to Dover City Code Title 12 (Zoning Regulations) to establish standards and an administrative permitting process for short-term rentals, also known as vacation rentals. The proposed amendment would require a zoning permit prior to operation of a short-term rental. The proposal also includes standards for occupancy, life/safety inspections, notice requirements, a "good neighbor" policy, and other standards related to general health, safety, and welfare. The consequences of violations are also addressed. The Dover Planning & Zoning Commission at its July 6, 2017 public hearing unanimously recommended approval of the ordinance. The public is encouraged to attend the hearing or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the meeting. Written material not exceeding 1 page may be read into the record the day of the hearing. Public testimony shall comply with Dover's public hearing resolution (copies available at City Hall.)
