Chamber welcomes HMH Engineering

SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce welcomed HMH Engineering, LLC, to the chamber with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 25.

HMH Engineering LLC was formed with the purpose of providing engineering and consulting services in the specific fields of construction engineering, transportation, and water resources in the Pacific Northwest. Their staff members have the vast project experience of a large firm, but are part of a small-client focused and cost-efficient company. HMH managing members have a combined 35 years of construction, engineering, and inspection experience on federally funded projects.

HMH Engineering’s Sandpoint office is managed by Dan Larson, PE. Since 1996, Larson has been working with agencies ranging from the Idaho Transportation Department to small local utilities such as the Coolin and Kalispell Bay sewer districts. A native of Priest River, Dan has extensive experience in drainage analysis and design, as well as project management for residential and commercial land development. He also serves as a municipal contract engineer providing project reviews for development projects within the city of Ponderay. His experience includes design, permitting, construction management, change orders, pre-bid coordination, schedule analysis, and agency coordination.

Over the past decade, the technical and administrative professionals of HMH have served the State of Idaho in a wide range of disciplines including project management, construction inspection, constructability reviews, materials sampling and testing, QC/QA management, contract administration, project closeout, roadway design, land development, water / wastewater utility design, and site plans.

Those who might seek out HMH’s services include Idaho Transportation Department, local highway districts, counties, cities, local utility districts, private land developers, builders, complex septic installers, and contractors.
