SPIRIT LAKE — Two people were injured Wednesday after a loaded log truck overturned on Highway 41, according to Idaho State Police.

State police said Andrew V. Gosser was driving northbound north of Spirit Lake in a 1994 Peterbilt when he lost control of the tractor-trailer while negotiating a corner. The truck veered off the right shoulder and Gosser overcorrected, causing the tractor and trailer to overturn.

The crash happened at about 2:06 p.m. at milepost 21. The crash blocked both north and southbound lanes of travel for approximately four hours.

Gosser, 32, of Hayden, and an unidentified juvenile male passenger were taken by terrestrial ambulance to Kootenai Health for treatment.

State police said the juvenile passenger was wearing a seatbelt, while Gosser was not.

The crash remained under investigation on Thursday.
