EOU announces winter dean’s list

LA GRANDE, Oregon — Eastern Oregon University named 509 students to the dean’s list for the 2017 winter term. Qualifying students achieve and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the duration of the term.

Emily Graham and Nan Kiebert, both of Sandpoint, earned the honor.

Hill earns honors at Graceland University

LAMONI — The honor roll lists for Graceland University’s 2017 spring term have been announced, and Joshua Hill of Sagle has been named to the President’s List.

Graceland University students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average are named to the president’s list. Congratulations, Joshua! Graceland commends you on your academic success.

Kemink brothers earn USASA awards

Andre Kemink from Sandpoint High School and Dante Kemink from Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High school received national scholarships from the United States of American Snowboard Association to use for college or ski camp/coaching. Andre Kemink received a $400 scholarship, which will go toward college at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the fall. Dante Kimink received a $200 scholarship.

Smith named to BJU dean’s list

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Joel Smith, a junior graphic design major of Sagle, was among approximately 860 Bob Jones University students named to the spring 2017 dean’s list.

The dean’s list recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

Burnett graduates Whitman College

WALLA WALLA — Caroline Burnett of Priest River has graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

A graduate of Priest River Lamanna High School, she received a bachelor of arts in religion during the Whitman commencement ceremony on May 21.

Founded in 1882, Whitman College is home to approximately 1,500 undergraduate students exploring 45 departmental majors that lead to a bachelor of arts degree.
