RATHDRUM — Allura Livingston, Alana Seifert and Jenny Slaveck never dropped a game in straight set sweeps in girls singles, leading the Bulldogs to a 10-2 win over the Hawks in a 4A Inland Empire League tennis match on Thursday at Lakeland High School.

Laney Search and Khloe Kyllonen also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, and Amy and April Clark won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles as the Bulldog girls showed the depth that makes them a North Idaho power.

“The girls team was huge. The singles lineup never lost a game in the most dominating performance of the year for them,” said Bulldog head coach Kent Anderson. “Laney and Khloe played calm and almost flawless once again. Teams are always excited to take them on, but it doesn’t take long for Laney and Khloe to display their prowess.”

Jacob Jackson and Patrick Rockwell won 6-2, 6-3 and No. 1, and Declan Plummer and Noah Hasings won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 to sweep the boys doubles. Juan Dorado added a solid 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1 boys singles, Shane Curtis lost a marathon 6-7, 7-6 (10-8) at No. 2, and Qamron Leonard lost 7-5. 6-4 in a tight match at No. 3 boys singles.

Koen Connor’s speed and Tessa Beeman’s strong ground game led to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 mixed doubles, and Charlie Crane returned from a sprained ankle to team with Olivia Ramirez to notch a big 6-4. 6-1 win at No. 2 mixed doubles.

“Charlie and Olivia were warriors. Olivia stepped up to varsity and teamed with Charlie who has been out for a month with a sprained ankle. Having never played together, they needed a few games to adjust and then they rolled to a decisive victory,” said Anderson. “Charlie was flying all over the court while Olivia stood her ground and volleyed everything that came at her.”

The Bulldogs have only two more matches before Districts, against tough competition in Moscow and Lewiston.

“I’m guessing those will be a battle,” predicted Anderson. “It was another great day of tennis and, this time, we had great weather along with it.”

Sandpoint hosts Moscow today at 2 p.m. at Travers Park.
