Alexis 'Lex' B. Brown, 51

Alexis “Lex” B. Brown, 51, passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sandpoint Stake Center, with Bishop Steve Roos officiating.

Lex was born on May 5, 1965, in the Silver Valley area. There he joined four brothers and soon one more to follow. Lex came to live with Charlotte and Richard Olson in May 1990, he was only going to stay for a few days and ended up there for 31 years. He was very happy, loved and content.

He worked for Alpine Lumber for over nine years receiving a plaque for being a very hard worker. He also worked at Panhandle Special Needs. Lex and Richard formed a partnership hauling bundles of wood to Round Lake State Park.

In 2008 Lex was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to travel, and spent four months going from Coast to Coast as well as going on many cruises.

When Charlotte and Richard retired they wintered in Mesa, Ariz., there Lex loved riding his bicycle and doing many different service projects.

Lex is survived by his foster parents, Charlotte and Richard Olson; and many special adopted family members and friends; his biological parents, Nellie and Laverne Brown; and also five brothers, David, Timothy, Noel, Kari and Eric Brown.
