A 17-year-old male from Priest River was arrested in the 100 block of W. Walnut Street in Newport, Wash., at 2:15 a.m. for being a status offense runaway.

SANDPOINT POLICE

May 16

An officer contacted a male yelling in the 200 block of Main Street at 8:28 a.m. and calmed him down. No charges were pressed.

An officer assisted ISP with traffic control after an oversized load hit the train trestle in the Fifth Avenue area at 8:47 a.m.

An intoxicated male had already left the 1100 block of N. Division when the officer arrived at 11:01 a.m.

A dog bite was reported in the 1200 block of W. Lake Street at 11:30 a.m.

A bike was found in the 2100 block of Pine Street at 11:22 a.m.

An officer contacted a reportedly reckless driver after a complaint in the area of Sixth and Poplar at 1:07 p.m.; she was elderly and unfamiliar with the streets.

A follow-up report was taken on W. Lake Street at 1 p.m.

Found drug paraphernalia on S. Division Avenue was turned in for destruction at 1:45 p.m.

Officer was unable to determine that a trespass had actually occurred in the 1000 block of Ridley Village Road after a complaint at 2:13 p.m.

Counterfeit bills were reported in the 1300 block of Highway 2 at 2:23 p.m.

A male was trespassed from a business in the 300 block of Cedar Street after a complaint of threats at 3:09 p.m.

An officer responded after a backpack that was left in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue was gone when the owner went to look for it.

Report of a 911 pocket dial on Oak Street at 3:19 p.m.

A child playing with the phone in the Halley Street area dialed 911 at 3:24 p.m.

Officers checked on juveniles in the 1100 block of Honeysuckle Avenue at 6:25 p.m.; they were fine.

An officer checked on a dog in the 600 block after a complaint at 8:10 p.m.; it was fine.

An officer assisted a citizen in the 4100 block of Samuelson Avenue at 9:20 p.m.

May 17

Brandon R. Senner, 22, of Sandpoint, was cited in the area of Fifth and Poplar at 1:31 a.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Sandpoint officers were canceled while en route to assist Ponderay Police on an arrest in the 476700 block of Highway 95 at 1:45 a.m.

May 16

Report of a reckless driver eastbound in the area of Highway 95 and Schweitzer Plaza Drive at 1:20 p.m.

An officer responded to a reckless complaint in the 478200 block of Highway 95 at 2:56 p.m.

May 17

Sunkmanitu H. Little Brave, 19, of Sagle was arrested in the 476700 block of Highway 95 at 1:45 a.m. on an outstanding misdemeanor Bonner County warrant.
