Food bank seeks holiday turkeys

| November 9, 2017 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — So far, the Bonner Community Food Bank has just over 100 turkeys of the estimated 900 turkeys needed to make sure everyone in the community has something for the Thanksgiving holiday.

While some of us enjoy a Thanksgiving feast, for others, Thanksgiving is a time when families struggle between keeping the lights on and buying enough groceries to feed their family’s basic foods. Fortunately, you can do something to help them — by helping our families enjoy the tradition of Thanksgiving without having to face these tough choices alone. This is the time the food bank gets turkeys and all the fixings for approximately 900 families in the Bonner County area.

To donate, drop your turkeys by the food bank, 1707 Culvers Drive Sandpoint.
